August 2018 Desktop Calendar

For August we distract ourselves with a trip to the Utah – Arizona border, and the amazing rock formation known as The Second Wave. Not quite as famous as it’s sister rock formation – aka just The Wave – which sits about 0.3 miles to the north, the Second Wave nevertheless – while covering less ground than its sibling – is still a sight to behold. So after our hike to the Wave last November, we walked a little further when all was said and done and checked out the little sibling. And it did not disappoint.  Maybe just 100′ or so from end-to-end, this view is from the side about 1/3 of the way down from the eastern end. The classic Second Wave photo is this one – just saying – or this one – featuring my hiking partner and father – for scale.

So there you go – consider yourself distracted for the dog days of summer – and enjoy the Second Wave in one of eight ridiculous sizes.

Mobile-esque (no calendar) versions:

  • iPad (and adjustable by you for all other phone / tablet versions)
