April 2012 Desktop Calendar

April 2012 Desktop Calendar

Welcome to Spring. Okay – scratch that – spring has been here for like three months. It hid in plain sight under the name winter. We were not entirely fooled. So welcome instead to April.

For our 39th desktop calendar this month, we venture out to lovely Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes, Colorado, for a little sunset action. I got up there late in the day and was hurrying to get some elevation but the light was just wonderful as the sun started to work at getting behind the peaks. I found an abandoned parking lot, pulled over, walked 50′, made five exposures, and kept going. Yep – another typical photograph by Dave Vernon. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good in the lighting department. The funny thing is – a couple thousand feet higher up, the snow was feet deep and coming down pretty good. Spring in the Rockies.

So enjoy your desktop calendar in one of six sizes, along with a croppable tablet or phone background with no calendar. All of these are good for 30 days but expire at midnight on April 30 – or double my money back. To me. Whatever. Enjoy.
