Peoria Camera Club Kicks Off

401 Water in GoldThe Peoria Camera Club opens its 2010-11 year tonight – and it should be a pretty good presentation.

Artist and photographer Rich Ankeney will speak on the topic of Art in Photography. If you haven’t seen David duChemin’s latest thoughts on Art and Photography – check that out too since it’s a popular subject right now.

Ankeney, from the Galesburg Camera Club, will present a program that will include topics like creative exposure, creative stages, and refreshing design styles.

Club meetings are the first, third, and fourth Tuesday’s every month through May and begin at 7:30pm. The club meets in the Parish Hall in Immanuel Lutheran Church on the corner of Knoxville and Glen Avenues, 4911 N. Knoxville Avenue in Peoria IL.

Upcoming for the Camera Club is photographer and Photoshop-wiz Kevin May on September 28, and wonderful nature shooter David Zalaznik on October 19. As the schedule fills out some more, I’ll be sure to pip what’s coming.
