The Best of the Midwest State Parks

Kaskasia Canyon

Thanks to some folks over on Flickr, I was steered to this article in Midwest Living magazine on the Best Midwest State Parks. And even though I’m not a big fan of web sites that make you click 36 times to see a list of 36 things, this is a worthwhile piece of work that helps you discover a number of great places to go for unique Midwestern photography – from Ohio to the Dakotas. Illinois parks on the list include Cache River State Natural Area (150 miles southeast of St. Louis), Starved Rock (which includes Kaskasia Canyon – pictured above), and our own Wildlife Prairie State Park.

This should keep you busy shooting for awhile.
