Indie Ink, Barb Hoffman, and Lots of Water

Peoria in April Redux

Those are three separate topics – I’m just sayin’.

§ I was turned on to the wonderful little literary and art journal, IndieInk.org a few weeks ago. It’s a wonderful collection of writers and artists – with new content added almost everyday. They obviously have good taste as the published two of my images. But the other 99.9% of content is good – and it features a lot of good photography to boot. Check it out, eh?

§ Locally, an exhibition of photography by Barbara Hoffman will be held at the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria at 305 SW Water Street. The opening reception is Saturday May 8th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The exhibition runs through June 25th and is open 11 am to 5 pm daily. A donation is requested. For more information, call 674-6822. Barb does a lot of wonderful urban decay photography and always has an interesting take on the world.

§ And just a reminder that there’s a photo walk this Saturday, sponsored by the Peoria Flickr group, up at Starved Rock and Matthiessen State parks. We’ll be meeting at the Starved Rock Visitor’s Center at 10am. More details are here.
