Friday Wraps

Flooding Back

Let’s wander for just a moment, shall we?

First of all – a big shout-out and a job well done to local photographer David Price and his gang at the Peirao Group. David got his act together nicely and entered a film in the Nikon Festival, a film competition sponsored by Nikon and limited to entries that are 140 seconds or less. The theme is “Your Day in 140 Seconds or Less”, and David did a fantastic job of giving Nikon a shoutout – as well as working a little lighting magic. Check out his entry right here and keep your fingers crossed that he wins the big $100,000 prize – cause maybe he’ll buy you a speedlite or something.

Secondly, the folks over at Kelby Training are offering a really good price if you want to buy a year of their top-notch teaching. Just $149 if you order soon. And actually – for the content you get – that’s a heck of a good deal. Go see what they have to offer.

Finally, if you aren’t aware of the New York Times’ blog called “One in Eight Million“, then perhaps you should go check it out. Stories told in a wonderful multimedia format – with killer imagery to boot. Neat stuff.

Alright – I’m off to go read my brand-spanking new copy of VisionMongers. duChemin strikes again.
