Lots of things coming up with the Peoria Camera Club. Lots.
§ If you want to get more out of Photoshop Elements, the PCC has two upcoming sessions that can really help. On Tuesday, September 22, which is the next digital meeting, there will be a session on “Elements – An Introduction” which will get you squared away for the bigger workshop. The workshop , Photoshop Elements 7 will be on Saturday, October 3. Photoshop instructor Kathy O’Donnell from St. Louis will be giving you a lot of good information on the nitty-gritty details of PE 7. Full details on the workshop can be found here. The day starts with registration at 8am and runs 8:30am to 4:30 pm with a one-hour break for lunch, and will be at Peoria Christian School. Cost of the workshop is $50.
Kathy O’Donnell has been teaching photography for 15 years and PhotoShop for 10 years and does a ton of presentations in and around the St. Louis area.

§ The upcoming Club meetings look interesting. On Tuesday, October 6, check out “Buy, Build, or Blunder”, which will feature club member Tom Romanowski and several other club members discussing and demonstrating some successful and not so successful photographic accessories. On Tuesday, October 20, Rich Seeman and Vicki Padesky will be exploring lenses – the power of different focal lengths, how perspective can help and hurt our images, and how magnification and aperture impact depth of field. And while it’s a ways out there, on Tuesday, November 3, Suzette Boulais from Peoria’s Arts Partners will be on hand to discuss the goals, and features of Arts Partners. She will also explore how that organization and PCC can benefit each other.
