A little of this, a little of that

Ma and Pa CanoeIt’s been a few days since I’ve gone all educational on you – but that’s what Tuesdays are pretty good for since we’ve got class two at the Peoria Art Guild tonight. So let’s get to a few good tidbits, perused from the Internet – the home of 5% of the good photography information that’s out there.

Educational stalwart blog Digital Photography School is almost always chock full of information. Once you start reading them, you may not need me but it’s the information that counts so here we go.

A few weeks ago, they had back-to-back articles that discussed 10 common elements of composition. These are all things you should be looking for when you decide to tell a story about something. The article came in two parts so without further adeiu, here they are:

5 Elements of Composition in Photography from DPS and

5 MORE Elements of Composition in Photography from DPS

We’ve referenced Natalie Norton here before – she’s a Hawaii-based portrait photographer. She’s got plenty of useful articles at the Digital Photography School like this one on  Photographing Natural Looking Portraits. There’s also Golden Hour Portraits by another mention: Christina Nicole.

The 1001 Noisy Cameras website has a comprehensive listing of DSLR reviews organized in a handy matrix format – find whatever camera you’re looking for and read a detailed review of that camera.
