Going off subject to connect

Another VisitorDaryl Lang, writing today over at the Photo District News blog, found this sequence of four shots by Alan Chin, from last night’s big Obama speech. He talks about how the speech – watched by so many – is now indelibly etched in our minds as sound and motion – and not so much as still images. Chin’s shots are way more about playing off the ball to make the emotional connection. It really works.

I know this is still a very quiet blog here in its pilot phase, but I’m gonna be on the road for a few days (just a wee tiny bit beyond 100 miles from Peoria) so posting will be slim to none after I click publish on this one. Have a great Labor Day weekend, y’all.
