July 2014 Desktop Calendar

July 2014 Desktop Calendar

As we reach the start of summer, I really wanted a image that looked like summer. Big red rocks and dry desert delivers. Welcome to Canyon de Chelly in northeast Arizona, in the Navajo nation. In November. Yeah – that’s the southwest for you – always looking like summer. Maybe it was those clouds in the sky that gave it away? This particular rock column, known as Spider Rock, sits at the far east end of the Canyon and looks spectacular from the canyon edge. You can see it was part of a wall that eroded and mostly fell over, but this cool gigantic set of spires remains. And it reminds you of summer, even in the coolness of November.

So help yourself and welcome summer to your desktop with this month’s rocky desktop calendar:

  1. Your iPad version doesn’t have a calendar on it. In case it was supposed to, I just wanted you to know. By the way, it looks rock star on my iPad.

  2. No cal on iPad. Figure it will get lost behind icon. So just art! Glad it rocks.
